Sonny Eastman Photography is the visual collaboration of Elizabeth and James, San Francisco-Bay Area film photographers specializing in environmental portraiture and weddings. Our work offers a glimpse into the unspoken interplay between our subjects’ inner worlds and external lives.

Our approach is about trusting the moment and the feeling of the day. With a keen eye for honesty, we embrace the raw, unscripted nature of a session. While we’re happy to softly guide people when needed, we don’t bring rigid expectations. Instead, we create space for mutual engagement. We have a deep love for perfect, timeless portraits, but also adore experimenting with film, bringing an unexpected touch. Our goal is to capture emotive images as we attempt to interpret the unique relationships we find ourselves witness to.
